The Clueless Majority
The majority is the majority; an often-impossible pack allowed to own pets, become parents, vote, and sit on juries. Just one of millions of examples is the OJ Simpson murder trail, when a juror said that she could not trust DNA evidence since she, at one time, had a false positive on a pregnancy test!
Many people are, with no rhyme or reason, only along for the ride. With superficial interests, they find themselves on the planet just to work, eat, drink, sleep, gamble and buy clothes. Many are moochers at heart, others are just plain, lost puppies. Then again, delusion-free people are happiest when accumulating intellectual and scientific knowledge, as well as knowing where to go for unbiased facts.
Too many people believe that what is exemplified on television and in motion pictures is enough to educate them. We stare at the small and large screens to see the world and get our set of "facts." Over time, our naiveté is magnified, as most of us have no prospect to get out and observe much of the world. Our judgment is based on what little we see.
In the meantime, astrology, psychics, ghosts, dowsing, telekinesis, spoon bending, free energy, salvation clubs, and so on, are coming on like gangbusters. Productive ways of thought, life wisdom, scientific comprehension, and the drive to learn are swiftly breaking down. Ironically, this collapse takes place at a time of logarithmically emergent scientific victory.
We are involved in our everyday responsibilities, and scarcely anything else (beyond the intellectual goofiness of daytime TV talk shows). Our routines leave us unaware of the sharks that wait to feed on an easy to fool, clueless majority. At the same time, we believe ourselves to be fresh and sassy, smarter thn most.
In response to our growing naïveté, our educators have long ago dropped the ball. Because of this flawed educational system, few of us understand the threats posed by our false notions: they have grown beyond the control of anyone and anything. As the blind lead the blind, there is no shelter from intellectual spoilage. Only a few tiny groups have the weapons to defend against mental insurgents. For people that live innocent lives, intellectual spoilage is a leading danger.
The innocence of children is understandable, but for adults, such innocence is dangerous. A clueless majority readily embraces supernatural lies. Fairy tale salesmen stand ready to give them more. In fact, the interests of the clueless are piqued by spurious ideas.
The "superior to science" arrogance of full-blown holistic spiritualists is to be condemned. And yet this mass sociogenic naïveté is a menace that we are ill prepared to take on.
In no way are we to take lightly the influence that big get-togethers of the brainless have on us; a threat that hits us hard in the pocketbook and on the world stage. If the mass of easy to fool and credulous people continues to climb worldwide, we may look forward to a menace of epic size.
Most of us have a mental weakness, a fatal flaw that empowers the most prolific master manipulators in the world. That fatal flaw grants the sponsorship that the bloodsuckers need. Even the not-so-masterful, dime-a-dozen manipulators prosper.
The flaw exists because of our poor thinking ability...we have not learned to think critically. Instead, we want to be spoon-fed by the glut of marginal authorities, institutions, and groups, all vying to think for us.
