Hurricane Eyes
Like the eye of a storm, a detached mind is calm in the midst of turmoil. Free of the false idea that things should turn out a particular way, a detached mind learns acceptance. This means that such a mind does not resist what cannot be changed. This detachment brings objectivity. And so an intense storm can impart a valuable lesson.

A detached, objective mind stays centered, focused on what needs to be done. Outward events and other people do not dictate how such they should feel and react, because it feels "too big" to feel threatened. When we learn to quietly pass through life as if we are not obsessed with being happy, we do not cling to so-called friends in the hope that they will bring fulfillment. Instead, we leave the relationship up to them.

A detached mind realizes that happiness is now or never. By experiencing full aliveness in the present, we are passionate, and live with the only joy there is.

"Lfe involves constant challenge. if we are to be happy at all, we must be happy, period, not happy because of this or that."

A Calm Sea
Detachment means to rise above the effects of false fear, at peace in an often chaotic world.

Being detached does not mean we are an automaton with no emotions.  By living rationally, we overcome the effects ore confident, and leave more room for aliveness. Free from negativity, we do things with nothing held back... more focused on our goals.

The key is growth. By developing the capacity for life wisdom (which is equal to our emotional quotient), we enhance the way we live life. Sadly, most of us live o whole life with an attached mind. This means that ou mood always changes from positive to negative as outside conditions change.  But all the resistance (often followed by depression) won't fix things. So why bother? Why make matters worse? We simply do what is needed to settle things with a minimum of fuss.

Learning that life is often made of facades is essential. Otherwise, many things wil confound us. Equally, it is a mistake to believe that, just as In the past,  we will be  happy when we get what we want. In reality, the dazzle fades away, leaving us as before.
